This was my entry for the KitBash3D Industrial Contest fully realised and rendered in real-time using the Unreal Engine.
All lighting is dynamic and the project runs in realtime at a consistent 60fps on a single GTX1080, albeit it at 720p.
The video output for the project has now been remastered and re-rendered at 4K using a technique involving capturing a 5K image sequence and down-sampling to 4K when creating the video. This helps preserve some details that would be lost if attempting to capture a video straight from Unreal Engine's Sequencer tool.
I really enjoyed making this piece and working with Kitbash3D's awesome content - I know it's not meant for games, and I struggled to match the quality of the VFX artists/matte/concept painters who also entered the contest, but game engines are extremely fun to work with and can achieve some great looking results.
I actually came third in the In-Motion category: https://kitbash3d.com/blogs/news/industrial-contest-winners
